Checking the Tank

I am on a short business trip so I went hunting for a place to run. Found a middle school with a track there that was open so I was able to push out 8 miles today. That made me happy as traveling can mess with running schedules. I plan on hitting it tomorrow too. 

I pulled the trigger and bought the Kinvara's. I really like them, they are very light and feel great. It was a tough choice so that means I will likely buy some Boston's in a few weeks! 

Hot and humid today, had to gut out some of those miles. Wind felt good at times but was against me for more of the miles. I feel more accomplishment on days like these at times. 

Great run. I went a little shorter because of the running team I went with- they run shorter distances and had to con them into more miles :)

It was lightly raining for part of this so I really enjoyed that!

Finally back home. That half was nice, that bad part is its HOT. Heat warnings out for our area. Angel rode her bike and brought water so that was nice. Overall nice strong run. 

Up this morning and much cooler :) Good, seemed to get a pain/cramp in my lower left back around 5 1/2 miles but it worked itself out as I kept at it and was gone by mile 7. 

Got the family out on the bike path and I ran while they rode, good morning! :)
