Signup up for a 10K a few days ago. Trying to get my body and legs back to old form and beyond. Honestly I knew being injured for 2 years would take a toll, but I thought I could regain more speed by now. Age is probably a factor as is expectations. Overall a good day to race, temps at 68 for start, but humid (97%) and sunny as always. I paced pretty evenly, and not complaining, but was hoping for just a bit better out of myself. 2nd in age group, I will take that. Splits 7, 6:52, 7:11 (slight uphill), 6:53, 6:58, 6:56 and 6:26 for the .22.
Next week more miles, getting prepped for a heavy dose of miles in August.
