Tonight I needed a little motivation (Thanks Cassie) to get my butt in gear. So after small meal I went back outside to my trusty cold weather route. Some of the snow is gone, but not all so that always slows me down. I also have a huge blister (I think blood blister since its red) on my left middle toe that is sore. I do not usually get them so I wonder running on that soft track contributed or just one of those things. I feel better now that I got my run in.

Glad I could help :) We need to get together for a run soon!

You need to POP that blister! Believe me, if anyone knows anything about blisters on the toes and feet, it is me. I claim to be an expert at nothing aside from blisters! Sterilize a pin and POP IT! Then wrap a band-aid around it good and tight and repop it every time you run. The best scenario is if you can POP it and then slit it so it can not refill, but that is hard on toe blisters (works great on feet blisters).

Know I feel like I have contributed to someone today in a positive way! Thanks.

My motivation is all but gone right now, but I keep telling myself, "This too shall pass!"

Pop it? You sure? You sound sure since you are an expert :) I am going to trust you on this... in the morning (I am beat... okay maybe I can muster the energy). The blister is big, goes under the toe nail even.

YES, pop it. It will fill better. At the end of every marathon I head straight in to the medical tent for my sad feet. The doctors there pop them every time. Like I said, if you can actually slit it or clip it, that is the best because it will not fill back up and all is well. I bet you lose a toenail. Have you lost a toenail before?

I just love feet talk.

Alright Kelli... I am learning new stuff about you :p

Yes, I have lost toenails before, fairly uneventful. So here is the odd thing, I was so tired last night that I figured I would just pop it in the morning. I wake up and the blister does not hurt... not even a little, but is there, mostly under the nail. Want a picture? Just odd...

I love nothing more than pictures of gross toes! Hopefully it just popped on its own and all is well.
