Recovery runs getting a little faster... legs getting/feeling better throughout the day and just starting to show signs of life while running. I will keep it slow tomorrow but add a few more miles. My friend wants me to run a 5K on the 20th. I am not so sure thats a good idea that soon. Maybe I could pace her, but I do not want to run all out yet. Maybe I am being too strict, I dunno.

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L DAY! Its 70 and just awesome out here (back home in Ohio). Nice change after the 27 degrees a week ago. No wonder the kids get sick so fast.

Crud, you did a race and I was off ignoring you. I am going to go see what it was....

haha... do not worry, I never thought you were ignoring me, you were gone silly. Oh yes, you are one of the people who better be there in '12 :)

I found eating the blocks easier than the gu packs. The gu gets sticky and I need water like RIGHT AWAY, where the blocks I can chew slowly. One small thing I do is before the race I cut open the top and the cut the blocks in half. So i slide them up the top and they are half size and easier to chew (and never touch my fingers, just slide them from the plastic to my mouth). Pay attention! Valuable tip there!

Oh, that is a good tip!!! I use the PowerBar gels and they are sticky so I usually have a volunteer dump a cup of water on my hands so i can wash the sticky off (which means you have to take the gel just seconds before the aide station, of course). Very good tip on cutting the blocks in half, those things are HUBUNGOUS! Have you tried Clif Chomps? They are smaller and easier to chew. I dunno, I use all that stuff to train but just can never really pull it off during a marathon!

Congrats again, I am so very happy for your BQ. I wonder what trying to get in to Boston will be like next year. There might be a like a 1 hour window of time is all.
