My friends from Kenya are moving back soon and need help moving tomorrow morning so I figured I would get up early and do my long run today, that way I can run tomorrow without thinking about if I am going to some long miles in. Decided to run every 5th mile at MGP today, and while I may have been more aggressive, I was sooo tired when I woke up I wanted to just fall back in bed so I went with that game plan. AM- some CardioX to get the heart rate up and then Miles 1-4, 5-9, 10-14 and 15-19 were my normal aerobic base pace (varying from 8:15-9) and my MGP (7:15) splits were Miles: 4-5 7:11 9-10: 7: 02 14-15 7:05 19-20 7:13

Nice run, I like the idea. I tried a 1 mile easy one mile MGP for 17 miles once, that was a pretty good workout.

Have you picked a goal marathon yet?

David- I have experimented with the one mile on one mile off before too. The one I did today is to hopefully break me into it. Slowly increasing until I can hopefully do the entire long run at MGP. We will see, my body has not been very responsive lately. Yes I have my target marathon, Sept 17th, Air Force Marathon here in Ohio. I am still considering CIM.

JG- Thanks, I am hoping to phase them in more often as I get closer to September

It's bad enough competing with the Kenyans, but carrying a couch while you are at it? Do they park the truck a mile away just to get in more miles?

From Dan on Sun, Jun 26, 2011 at 00:26:20 from 24.209.83.20

Flat- I actually laughed out loud when I read that. Nice idea, park the truck and add some mileage!
