AM- We had a dense fog advisory... so I ran through that- I will let you calculate the humidity in that yourself. 6 miles, slow recovery. Off to work...

PM- Had some company on bikes and it was a bit cooler so that was nice. I figured I would take it slow, but it turned into progressive splits with me pacing the bikers until the last mile. I ran fairly hard (but not all out by any means) distancing myself from them a little. In fairness they stopped at stop signs and I ran through them. 5 Miles.

8 killed me today! It has got to feel good running 11 all the time! I don't think I have ever run in fog...blizzards, rain, and hail but no fog!

I like it that you have a winter running photo as your profile picture. It makes me go to my "happy place" in my mind ... away from this 105F furnace down here in Texas!

Nice run in the fog, sounds like the bikers need to get a higher gear.

Dan:

I looked at your training and race times. It appears that the hang up is the 5K speed. We need to figure out why it is where it is. Let's try a test. Either go to the track, or measure out a flat well marked course with splits every quarter mile, and run 6:00 pace until you are unable to hold it even if you sprint all out. If you have an HRM or if you can borrow one, it would be helpful to wear it and pay attention to what the HR does when the failure happens.

Thanks guys- the fog was interesting. IJR- 105? Glad the pic helps haha (It was about 28 degrees for that marathon) Flat- well she has gears, but shes 10... still she usually can get moving.

Sasha- Thanks for looking at the training- I have a 5k coming up July 4, so your timing is great. Either tomorrow or the next day I will do what you said. I have a HRM so I will dust it off.
