45 at the start. Warmed up as I ran for very nice conditions. After all the snow and ice, I think this was earned. 3 miles of warm up and the first 2 were rough, ankles & shins hurt so I walked for 10 seconds and everything reset itself and felt better. Then 12 miles at BQ pace or better (7:52, with the best miles at 7:28, 7:33), then 5 recovery. Then picked the pace back up for the last 2 just because I had gas in the tank. or gas. Not sure.

Bike bath was mostly empty for the first half. Saw a red chipmunk, lots of loud geese and some red headed woodpeckers. Eventually passed some nice old folks walking, a girls soccer game and an angry teenager boy walking. He didn't say much.

Yer killin it lately! Looking good for that BQ....didn't take you long once you got going.

Hey thanks Joe. I kinda needed that. I don't feel like I am killing it and I feel like it has taken me forever to get back to here. I try not to compare to anyone, but I read all these people who come back and it seems like they are faster than ever in a month. Wow I went on a monologue.

Nice running! You're getting there quickly. When's your next marathon?

IJR- Thanks! And, April 16. Carmel Indiana.

How long you were away is the biggest factor, I think. Given that, seems like you're probably at least on schedule if not ahead...even though progress probably seems agonizingly slower from your vantage point.

From Dan on Tue, Mar 15, 2016 at 19:24:00 from 71.72.159.140

Probably right Joe. I did try and run on and off those 2 years, but could never get anything going with the injuries. At most the one year was 200 miles. Tough for a guy with my obsessive compulsive behavior.
