I was not sure how I wanted to approach today. 2 weeks till marathon so I wanted a strong workout- yet I did not want to kill myself and I have been promising my legs some rest. So early on in the week I figured I'd run all 16 at MP, but  since we have 4+ days of a heat wave of 100 or near 100 temps (that I am sure will pass soon) and I am tired I thought a solid 10 mile tempo at sub MP would be good.

73/100% (I thought those days were gone)... I should have gotten up 2 hours earlier, sun was warm,oh well. 16 Miles, 10 tempo were 7:22 (hills, inclines), 7:14, 7:19, 7:23, 7:26, 7:21, 7:24, 7:27 (rolling hills), 7:26, 7:35 (steep hills). Avg 7:23. Ok I suppose.

Getting packed up and ready to travel!

Nice run! Hey, maybe running in the heat today will get you ready for Florida! Only 2 weeks!

Good job, Dan. Your logic seems sound, as Spock would say! :-)

Hey, it's Bizarro world - we have a cold front coming in soon and you're getting the heat wave.

Great finish to the week, 10 at MP is a difficult run even in nice temperatures so you're in great shape.

Go man go ... That's all I have to say. Can't wait to hear how you do in two weeks!

Nice run. I forgot, what marathon are you training for?

From flatlander on Sun, Sep 04, 2011 at 19:11:13 from 76.31.26.153

Yeah, what marathon? Good run no matter the race, though. Sorry about the heat, but you know it won't last long this late in the year.

Technology... I am blogging from my laptop while sitting in the passenger seat with my phone being the mobile hot spot. Cass- I am hoping it's hot in fla so it's even cooler feeling when I get back! David- I didn't know you were a Spock fan :) Well even if you are not, I am, so run long, and prosper. Joe- It has been a Bizarro world! IJR- thanks for the vote of confidence. Dale & Flat- Wright Patt Air Force Marathon here in Ohio. It's like 10 minutes from home :) Yes, the heat here won't last long... yet I am on my way to FL - Catch up with you all soon!
