65/88%- Overall nice morning to run. It has been a pretty long week and my legs are still a little tired but I wanted to get a quality run in today. I figured if I could run 10 miles at a soft tempo around MP that would work. After 3 miles WU I did 10 like I wanted and had the legs for 2 more. I was tempted to push through and do some more, but my legs were tired and my quad and foot injuries the doc checked out seemed to be getting a bit better so I figured I better not risk aggravating them now.

1-3 WU

3-15 'Soft' Tempo 7:45, 7:33, 7:28, 7:38, 7:40, 7:39, 7:37, 7:41 (hills), 7:39 (hills), 7:40 (steady incline), 7:42 (steeper incline), 7:33 (uphill first half, then flat lands!) I threw in and extra .02 miles - just something a little extra for ya

15-20 Cool down - actually reset the Garmin so I would not be tempted to run hard, but I did throw in a few striders to keep my legs 'loose'.

Decent day, 7:56/avg, happy with the running week. Now where did I put that bag of ice...

Ice is pretty much my best friend right now! Nice run! :)

Did you really just run a hundred miles this week?? Wow, it's almost like you're training for a marathon or something. And you still managed a really nice pace on the 20-miler, great job.

100 miles????? SWEET! Serious cookie eating is in order.

I love how you reset the garmin so you would no push it on your cool down. Classic.

Wow nice week - way to go Dan! You obviously were very in tune with your body this week knowing that injuries are lurking from the other week. This is a good sign that you know what, when, and how to push.

Awesome run Dan & great week! I am going to wait until my doctor tells me to stop running before I break 100! LOL. Glad to hear the injuries are doing better!

awesome dan! that's a great run at the end of a big week. while you're looking for that bag of ice, you should also be looking for that bag of chips. and that bag of carrots. and hawaiian bread. the most important part of the long run: refueling!

From Dan on Sun, Aug 14, 2011 at 14:22:28 from 24.209.83.20

Cass- Thanks and glad I rank below ice :p Joe- Thanks, weird how you knew I was training for something.. hummm... Kelli- I ate a ton, just not cookies! I was out. And yes, killing the Garmin was needed, I know myself to well lol. Ham- Thanks, you may give me too much credit, but I will take it haha. JG- would you like to visit my doc? :) Allie- refueling... isn't that why we all run in the first place? Now hand me that peanut butter cup you took from me.

I don't know how you ran a 20 after 14! My legs would be dead! You are getting so fast!
